Accessibilitystatement.

Shute Creative believes a portfolio site should be as clear and usable as the work it shows. We built this site with readable structure, real labels, strong contrast and keyboard-friendly controls so as many people as possible can browse it comfortably.

The accessibility panel

A floating accessibility button lives in the bottom-left corner of every page. It stays visible as you scroll, so the controls are always within reach. Opening the panel lets you adjust the site to suit how you read and browse. Your choices are saved in your browser for return visits.

  • Text size

Four steps of scaling let you increase the base type size across the entire site without breaking layouts.

  • High contrast

Boosts foreground/background contrast and adds stronger borders so interface elements are easier to distinguish.

  • Highlight links

Underlines and emphasizes text links so interactive elements are easy to spot without relying on color alone.

  • Pause animation

Stops the looping stat cycle and scroll-triggered motion so the page stays still while you read.

  • Standard cursor

Switches from the custom red ring cursor back to the default pointer for easier tracking.

  • Reset all

Returns every setting to the default state in one tap.

Labels & contrast

Every form field has an associated label, every icon-only button has an accessible name, and every toggle reports its state to assistive technology. Color is never the only way information is conveyed: selected options use borders and filled indicators, links can be underlined, and focus states are visible.

Body text is set against our dark background using foreground tokens designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios. The high-contrast mode pushes contrast even further for users who need it.

Keyboard navigation

You can move through the site using only your keyboard. Press Tab to jump between links, buttons and form fields; press Enter or Space to activate them. The accessibility panel can be opened and closed with the same button, and pressing Escape closes it and returns focus to the toggle.

Feedback

If you run into an accessibility barrier, or if a feature would make the site easier for you to use, we want to hear about it.
